Unlearning Prejudice: A Deep Dive into TJ Klune’s The House in the Cerulean Sea
Today I visited a beautiful local garden in Denmark to buy plants for my own garden, and it reminded me why I love supporting local gardeners. There is something so special about buying plants from people who truly understand the local climate, the soil, and what actually grows well here. Over time, I have realized that many plants from large stores can be harder to keep alive, often because they are grown in greenhouses under very different conditions. Local gardeners, on the other hand, have real experience and practical knowledge that makes a huge difference. This garden belonged to a lovely elderly Danish couple who kindly allowed me to film their beautiful space. Their garden was full of charm, care, and inspiration, and I left with around 15 plants and so many ideas for my own garden. This video is about more than just buying plants. It is about meeting local people, learning from their experience, and finding inspiration in the gardens they have built with love over time.
